With the arrival of the colder and darker days, it’s easy to get swept up in an unmotivated slump. In reality, it’s all about mindset and that takes some working on! The exciting thing is, the festive season is now upon us and so with that in mind, we wanted to share our tips on being the most optimistic you - so you can fully enjoy the festivities.

- Make the most of your mornings - So the evenings may be drawing in and we’re not far off the shortest day of the year now, but that means it's time to make the most out of your mornings. For us, we love getting up early and getting outside as the sun is rising to get some morning daylight.. If a morning stroll isn’t on the cards then even just a 15 minute wonder at lunch time can work wonders in boosting your mood, it's amazing what a bit of fresh air can do!
- Take some time to relax - and embrace these cosy months. ! Tell us, how tempting does a film, hot chocolate and a bag of your favourite Crookies sound? We know, irresistible! So it's time to embrace your inner Crookie monster and dive straight into a good film. FYI Love Actually is on the top of our list…
- Give mindfulness a go - Mindfulness can mean different things to different people; it could be an hour long breathwork session down to just 5 minutes of meditation or even a gentle yoga flow. What you do isn’t important, what is more important is that you find what works for you. We find lighting a few candles and embracing our inner zen is the perfect recipe for getting our sleep back on track too!
- Surround yourself with positive people-We’re not encouraging boozing every night but we definitely recommend making time to catch up with an old friend during your working weeks and making the effort to let your hair down at the weekend. Make a conscious effort - we appreciate the cold weather makes us want to stay in but life is all about balance!
